Why Perspective Matters..

I started Perspective Matters in 2019 after working for nearly 25 years in sales, marketing, strategy and consulting. In that time I think I really have experienced many different facets of business. Whilst most of my professional life has been in the telecoms and tech sectors, I started my career in the gruelling world of adventure off-road motorsport after finishing a modern languages degree. I’ve worked in start-ups and multi-nationals, led teams and been an individual contributor; I’ve been a homeworker and spent many hours on planes. I’ve been employed, self-employed, made redundant and been re-employed. I’ve worked for inspirational leaders I’ll never forget and, well, a few I’m trying to forget.

My approach to business success has been shaped a great deal by a love of growing businesses and the amazing experiences I’ve had over the course of my career. I was, by sheer good fortune, part of the team that went on to create Virgin Media. It was at that trail-blazing fledgling cable company, under the guidance of an incredible CEO, that I learned that if you are given enough trust (and rope) you can be a dynamo of success no matter how young you are. In other companies I learned that meritocracies are far better than hierarchies and that great leaders can inspire teams to move mountains. I did also work in environments that were beaurocratic and stifling - painful at the time, but now gold dust when talking to leadership teams about creating motivational, high performance, environments for their people.

So, I started Perspective Matters to share my experiences of success with others. The company is made up of a tight team of associates, all of whom I have known for many years. They are all truly talented former executives and experts in their fields. Yet, if there is one thing I love more than their talent, it is the values we share. Passion, honesty, enthusiasm and realism.

We invest ourselves in our client’s futures and we love it.
